Empowering communities
through art

Thimble works closely with various communities in and around Negombo, especially in the fishing villages adjoining Thalahena.

We help provide these communities with a much needed source of income that enables them to enjoy a better standard of living. The girls and women involved have developed real skills as creative artists and craftswomen, and they are now being paid to put to these skills to good use.

Through this unique work ethic, Thimble empowers individuals to stand up on their own, while creating products that are truly wonderful to be enjoyed by discerning customers across the globe.
